Tabitha Steger grew up in Prescott, Wisconsin. She trained at local competitive dance studios until the age of 18 when she graduated from the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists. From a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, she was blessed to work with notable artists and companies such as TU Dance Company, Carl Flink, Nora Chipaumire, Keigwin and Company, Scott Rink, Martha Graham Company, and Maurya Kerr. After working with Maurya Kerr in Fall of 2014, she was invited to dance with Kerr's company, tinypistol, in San Francisco May 2015 for her professional debut. In addition to her home institution, she spent a semester abroad at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Israel where she took classes in Gaga and repertoire classes of Batsheva Dance Company under Gaga academic director Aya Israeli. Most recently she has begun her training in the GYROKINESIS® movement method developed by ballet dancer Juliu Horvath.
